Research + Book: High-Rise. High-Density. High-Hopes.

An analysis of the 1960s urban development in Glasgow, which then had more high-rises than any other city in Europe, and also the tallest, the infamous 'Red Road' towers. The dissertation used first and second-hand information in the form of case-studies, interviews and historical archives. It made a comparitive study to evaluate Glasgows progress and architectural attitudes to urban planning, social housing and primarily high-rise living.

The Red Road towers were due for demolition in 2014 after years of carefully constructed social installations and workshops that paid respect to the inhabitants.
